Super-Intensive English Course Schedule

Our Super-Intensive English Course Schedule includes approximately 29 hours of classroom instruction per week. There are 4 classes per day, from Monday to Friday. The VEC curriculum is designed to develop English skills for real situations. Grammar is taught in a communicative manner, with an emphasis on using the structures orally. Communicative methodology is also used for the development of Vocabulary, Idioms and Pronunciation.

Intensive English Course Schedule

The Intensive English Course Schedule includes approximately 26 hours of classroom instruction per week. Although there are not usually classes on Friday afternoons, students may join optional school field trips. Otherwise, the Intensive Program is the same as the Super-Intensive Program.

Morning Part-Time English Course Schedule/

Afternoon Part-Time English Course Schedule

The Morning Part-Time English Course Schedule and Afternoon Part-Time English Course Schedule include the same content as the full-time programs. Morning classes are from 9:00am to 11:50am. Afternoon classes are from 12:50 pm to 3:40 pm. Part-time students may apply for electives or regular classes.

TOEIC Preparation Program

Our TOEIC Preparation Program is an elective course, designed entirely to help students achieve high TOEIC scores. It does not focus on general English language skills. Classes are divided into three separate levels.

TOEFL Preparation Program

VEC also offers the TOEFL Preparation Program as an elective. Although students may take this as a part-time course, most people who participate are registered in a full-time program. Classes are divided into three separate levels.

Preparation for Business English Program

The Preparation for Business English Program helps students prepare for the Business English Program or the Business Internship Program. The course content includes grammar and vocabulary that is required for the more advanced courses. This is a four-week, Super-Intensive Program.

Business English Program

The Business English Program helps people who need English in their work. Language skills are developed through many stimulating, realistic communicative activities. This course is suitable for a broad range of advanced students. Students may remain in the program for 2 to 12 weeks. There are 6 hours of classes each day. Most students integrate the Business English Program into a full time program.

Vacation Study Program

The Vacation Study Program combines morning classes with afternoon sightseeing and leisure activities. At least one sightseeing activity is usually offered each weekend.

Business Internship Program

The Business Internship Program is a Super-Intensive Program for ambitious students and professionals who want to personally experience the Canadian business environment. Although this course emphasizes business skills, it is beneficial to anyone who uses English in their workplace.

Introduction to Teaching English as a Foreign Language

This course is for people with little or no experience teaching languages. The focus is on teaching English to adults in a practical, efficient manner.

Teaching English as a Foreign Language Certificate Program

The VEC TEFL Certificate Program is for people are serious about a career in teaching. The focus is on teaching English to adults in a practical, efficient manner.
